Dr. Jane Foundation

WTSN was given a great boost early on with a grant from Life's Abundance's non-profit arm, The Dr. Jane Foundation. They are committed to supporting a variety of animal rescue groups, all dedicated to saving neglected and unwanted animals.

With each purchase of a Life's Abundance product, a portion of the profits are contributed to a fund that supports the operations of WTSN and others.

Community CAts Podcast Grant

WTSN raised $1,000 which was matched by this Community Cats grant in both 2017 and 2018. The definition of a Community Cat is “any cat from a targeted area that is free-roaming.”  WTSN uses this grant money to fix cats that are outdoors. http://www.communitycatspodcast.com/community-cats-grants/

Spay TEnnessee

Julie Jacobson is instrumental in getting numerous groups similar to West TN Spay Neuter started in Tennessee. She believes the best way to prevent pet homelessness is through providing access to affordable and accessible spay and neutering services to low-income and burdened pet owners. TN Dept. of Health
Animal Friendly Spay/Neuter Grant program

The Tennessee Department of Health provides grants to groups such as West TN Spay Neuter each year out of funds collected from the sale of the state's Animal Friendly license plates for vehicles. “This program benefits human health as well as animal health by helping control the number of unwanted dogs and cats,” said TDH Environmental Health Director Hugh Atkins in 2015.

Purchase an animal friendly license plate in TN to show your support for animals, and $35 of that fee will go to a spay/neuter group in Tennessee. https://www.tn.gov/revenue/article/wildlife-animal
